e Mobile Piano ('In House'), Studio or Webcam Lessons (* guitar lessons remote only)

Piano/guitar/* lessons are offered to beginner, intermediate and advanced students of all ages. Students have the option to either attend Semitonis Studio (only selected areas), Webcam lessons or have their weekly lessons at their own homes (In-Person)). A travel fee may be charged for students staying outside a 10km radius and who opt for home piano lessons. Students must have access to a piano or digital piano at home. All students are required to manage their own electronic MPD system (music performance diary) and share it with the teacher before the next lesson. Please read 'Studio Policy' on the website by clicking the 'Registration' icon. Students are encouraged to participate in concerts, recitals, PA competitions or Chamber Music opportunities.

  • The fourth piece may be substituted with a duet at the appropriate grade level or a choice solo piece
  • Performance grades are assessed REMOTELY
  • Students are required to record a video of their performance and send it of for marking by a panel of examiners.
  • A full guidance document on how to record and submit a performance for examination must be adhered to.
  • A pass at ABRSM Grade 5 or above is required in either Music Theory, Practical Musicianship or any Practical Music solo Jazz instrument before learners can enter for a Grade 6, 7 or 8 Performance exam.
  • Alongside Performance Grade exams in Grades 1 to 8, a remotely-assessed ARSM exam with the same syllabus and requirements as the current ARSM will be on offer soon.
